Welcome, Adventurers
It is especially gratifying to renew old friendships with returning guests, and we are pleased to meet others for the first time. Since 1983, BattenKill Canoe has specialized in canoe trips from our home in Vermont. 27 years later, we now feature canoe and walking trips in Vermont, Canada, Scotland, France, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
Not all outfitters are alike. Our philosophy is to find a few gems that we love and share those places with you. We invite you to leave the hectic pace behind and discover the simple life of river travel for a few days. You'll make new friends and rekindle old acquaintances. Join us off the roads, away from the cars and crowds, celebrating the peaceful places where nature is close and you will find places of unbelievable beauty. Adventure travel engages your mind, rejuvenates your body and nurtures your spirit.
As we travel the world we are keenly aware of our impact on the places we visit. We have a social responsibility to make certain our carbon footprint is as small as possible. But our social responsibility reaches far beyond the obvious. Through our non-profit organization, Alianza de Solentiname, we assist in education projects in Solentiname Nicaragua, as well as provide scholarships to University for gifted students. Please visit www.solentiname.org for details. It is travel with a purpose.
If you are thinking about your first trip with us, or planning a return engagement simply give us a call and we will be pleased to share our vision. Sharing our passion for great rivers, interesting people and places is what BattenKill is all about. Join us on a river, somewhere, sometime, but soon.
Join us, sometime, on a river somewhere, but make it soon.
Peace and all the best from all of us at BattenKill Canoe.
